Lindsey Vonn is an American skier, born on the 18th of October, 1984. She retired in 2010 after having won the four World Cup races and the Olympic gold medal in downhill skiing. Vonn is ranked second worldwide for the highest scores amongst female or male skiers. She's one of the best skiers around as well as the most loved American skier. Caroline Vonn, also known as Lindsey Vonn, is an American World Cup alpine racer who is a member of the US Ski Team. She has won all-around World Cup competition four times. She is an athlete that has earned an impact within American culture. She is one of six women to have won every event of the World Cup circuit. Overall, she has earned more than the 82 World Cup titles. World-class athlete and one of the most experienced ski racers, she has taken a decision to step down following the World Championships which are taking place in Sweden. Four-time World Cup overall champion decided to retire after suffering several illnesses. Social media was her way to announce her decision to retire. In the coming week, I'll take part in the final race in my professional career at the Downhill World Championships, as well as the SG World Championships held in Re Sweden.
